SUMMIT DIETICIAN OUTLINES A PLAN FOR HEALTHY EATING
January 1, 2010 Now that the holidays are behind us, it is time to establish some healthy eating habits for the new year. Betty Green, RD, LDN, CNSD, will discuss A Four Week Plan for Healthier Eating in 2010 on Wednesday, January 13 at 11:30 a.m. at Summit Medical Center in the classrooms on the ground floor of the hospital. At this time, Green will outline a simple four week plan to get your eating habits back on track. This seminar is free, but space is limited and reservations are required. Green, a registered dietitian, has been serving at Summit Medical Center for the past 24 years. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Masters of Education with an emphasis on Nutrition from Middle Tennessee State University and completed her dietetic internship at the Indiana University Medical Center.
During this lunch and learn seminar, Green will educate attendees on how to get the nutrients they need by incorporating omega 3 fatty acids, probiotics, antioxidants and vitamin D back into their diet. She will give examples of healthy meals and even snacks that satisfy those sweet or salty cravings.
